Come

You could never see the years in your eyes
To think of all they’d seen, all that they had laughed and cried
They could see with faith, those eyes were wise
Never giving in, 'the Lord, He always provides'
And He said

?Come, those who are weary
Come, those who are heavy laden
Those who are burdened and I will give you rest?

Memories of warmth, a place to confide
And many conversations, we had by the fireside
So much me inside of you I can see
Now I carry much of you inside of me

It’s been a year since I last looked in those eyes
Although they gazed on death, they beheld the sunrise
And how I long to meet you beyond the skies
To run the race like you, to win the prize
And hear Him say

Come, those who are...
Come, those who are...
Come, those who are...
