It's Now November...

The 3 Tour was a big success! Gareth, Neil and myself really had a great time getting together to perform each others songs. The set up of sharing the each gig between us worked really well and people seemed to enjoy it. Thanks to everyone from Larbert, Preston, Bruntsfield and Dunoon (yes we’ll sort out the geography better next time!) who put the gigs on and came out to support us. Hopefully this will be something we can get together again in the new year!

I'm so excited that Bob Harris has been playing tracks from Fearless.  A small dream come true!  Thanks JJ for letting me thrust a copy into your hand at Greenbelt.

DL and I felt like we were travelling to the end of the world as we drove to Peterhead on 22nd September! What lovely people we found there though. Thanks for a great gig!

And so to the Foundry for a wee recording 'shot in the arm'. I recorded a new track called ‘Everything’s Fine’.  I know people have been asking for it at gigs so look out for it in the new year.

We had a great time at Darvel not least because Scotland beat France that night but because we got to play for about 350 folk before Capercallie came on stage. Great night!

I’ve been busy writing lots but not necessarily finishing lots of songs..will get there!

Another long drive to Maidenhead and Guilford for a couple of gigs and a wee visit to my cousin who I’ve not seen in ages. I’m sure this doesn’t make for very exciting ramblings!

What IS exciting is a project that we’re recording at the Foundry this month. Over the last year and a half now I’ve been working with young people in Yorkhill Sick Children’s hospital writing songs. We’ve decided to record them professionally and sell the CD to raise money for the Youth Services there. We’ve got ten songs penned by some budding young writers. We’re funding this CD ourselves with help from kind friends and family. If you would like to contribute towards the cost of this project any donation would be greatly appreciated. We’re hoping to have it ready in December, just in time for the silly season!
