May's Musings
Ok, so I walked off too early in front of hundreds of people at The City Halls! These things happen to keep us humble
Well, the Romania fundraiser was a great success. In the end we raised £800 to be split between 2 Romanian charities. Craig D hosted an auction and once again persuaded us of his many talents as he joined in with some mando magic and even a touch of Tuba! Thanks to everyone who came out on such a sunny Greenock night and to Finnart St Paul’s for a stunning venue. Also to Matt who did the sound for nought and did a great job! Of course…to DL too…ever consistently brilliant!
Gordon Lyon and Hugh Gilchrist are out in Romania at the moment following up the BIG truck which was jam-packed with aid and has made its way over safely.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the wee coffee shop in Dunoon for a lovely wee intimate gig this month. We even got a free ride home on the ferry!! I like to think that I’ve now been overseas with my music!
Great to be down in Stranraer again with family and friends. Thanks again to all who came to the gig and well done to those who took part in the song workshop…was fun!!
Been recording some BVs for Jamie Wilson (friend and songwriter) who was at The Foundry recording an EP. Songs are sounding lovely.
Brilliant night at of music at The Arches. I was blown away by the Alejandro Escovedo Quartet.
Looking forward to supporting Karine Polwart at the Queens Hall and Oran Mor! Yippee!
